Start Cooking
Prepare the Pie

Combine all ingredients for potato layer.

Place half of mixture into greased 9- x 13-inch pan.

Combine ingredients for meat layer. Spread over potatoes.

Spread remaining potatoes over meat. Spoon gravy over pie.

Bake uncovered at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.

Replies:It is not recommended to freeze mash potatoes, they could lose their creamy texture. I would recommend making and freezing the meat mixture so all you would have to do is make the mashed potatoes and bake.

Replies:No, the recipe does not say so. If you're worried the meat is not going to cook you can, however, I think the meat would cook in an hour.
