Diets You can shortcut making sourdough bread by getting some starter from a friend or a local bakery. You can also order dehydrated sourdough starter online.
Yield: About 100 crackers
1/2 cup (75 grams) all-purpose flour, such as Glicks
1/2 cup (70 grams) Shibolim Whole Wheat Flour
3/4 teaspoon (3 grams) sea salt
1 cup (200 grams) sourdough starter (follow the directions here to develop your starter, or use the shortcuts mentioned above)
1/4 cup (53 grams) Gefen Olive Oil, plus more for brushing
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a bowl, mix flours, salt, starter, and 1/4 cup oil until a smooth dough forms.
Divide dough in half. On a sheet of Gefen Parchment Paper, use a rolling pin to flatten each piece into a rectangle.
Brush with olive oil and cut into squares using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
Transfer parchment to a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
