No matter which way you make it, Apple Crisp is always a favorite at Shabbos and Yom Tov meals. This version doesn’t disappoint! The addition of walnuts adds extra crunch and dimension. Not only is this a beautiful side dish, it tastes amazing as well. Try it, you won’t be sorry!

Ingredients

Southern Oatmeal Apple Crisp

  • 10 medium apples

  • 1 cup Mishpacha Flour

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup quick oats

  • 1/4 pound margarine, softened

  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

  • 3/4 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon

Directions

Prepare the Southern Oatmeal Apple Crisp

Peel apples and slice thinly.

Combine all ingredients, mix to form loose crumbly mixture. Place three fourths of the mixture into a nine- x 13-inch pan.

3.

Arrange apple slices over crumbs and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
