Okay, I must be honest, this is only the second-best chocolate chip cookie recipe out there—I can’t share all my secrets here! These cookies bake into flat disks, so they are perfect for when you want that “stacked” look or if you want to dip them for a simchah. They look stunning dipped halfway in chocolate and sprinkled with nuts or coordinating chips, and since they’re dark you can pair them with regular chocolate chip cookies for contrast.
Yield: about 2 dozen cookies
2 and 1/2 cups Glicks Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Gefen Cocoa
1 cup Haddar Brown Sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup oil
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, mix dry ingredients. Add the oil, eggs, and vanilla and mix. Stir in chocolate chips.
Using a small cookie scoop or mini ice-cream scoop, drop balls on prepared cookie sheet, leaving plenty of space for growth. Bake in preheated oven for 18 minutes.
