I bet you don’t think of jel desserts the same way after looking at these, right? For more delicious cheesecakes like this one, see our post The Ultimate Cheesecake Roundup.
1 (8-ounce) container whipped cream cheese (reduced fat works great)
6 tablespoons milk
6 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
8 ounces frozen strawberries, thawed
1 (3-ounce) box Bakol strawberry or raspberry jel dessert
In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, milk, and confectioners’ sugar. Mix to combine.
In the jar of a blender, puree half of the strawberries and all their juice (it should make half a cup of strawberry puree). Slice the remaining strawberries.
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the strawberry puree to a boil (this will happen quickly as there is not much liquid). Stir in three tablespoons jel dessert powder and whisk to dissolve. Remove from heat.
Whisk together strawberry and cream cheese mixtures.

No- I would not recommend freezing jello.
