Strawberry-Mango Ices

Ingredients

Strawberry Layer

  • 2 cups strawberries, frozen

  • 1/2–1 cup sugar, to taste

  • 1 cup orange juice

Mango Layer

  • 2 cups mango, frozen, such as Beleaves

  • 1/2–1 cup sugar, or to taste

  • 1 cup orange juice

Directions

Prepare the Strawberry Layer

1.

In a food processor or blender, puree all ingredients until smooth.

2.

Place puree in the freezer for approximately six hours.

3.

Return frozen ices to food processor and blend again.

4.

Spread in the bottom of a loaf pan and return to the freezer for two hours.

Prepare the Mango Layer

1.

In a food processor or blender, puree all ingredients until smooth.

2.

Place puree in the freezer for approximately six hours.

3.

Return frozen ices to food processor and blend again.

4.

Spread over prepared strawberry layer and freeze again.

Tips:

Freeze layers separately in 1/2-gallon (2-liter) containers if you prefer scoops of ices to slices.

Notes:

For a healthier option, omit the added sugar in both layers.
