Diets Submitted by Bgewirtz These cookies are delicious because they taste like Chanukah, not just shaped like Chanukah! With a hint of Sufganiyot, you’re sure to enjoy these cookies (and they give you something to do with all that oil left over from frying your sufganiyot!)
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon orange juice
1.25 teaspoons of vanilla
1 .5 cups all-purpose flour
.5 teaspoon baking powder
.5 teaspoon salt
.5 cup of oil that has been previously fried with donuts
.5 cups sugar
Mix flour, baking powder, salt togther.
In a separate bowl using an electric mixer, mix sugar and donut fried oil.
Mix in 1 egg at a time to the sugar and oil with the electric mixer.
Add in orange juice and vanilla and mix with electric mixer.
Add in the flour mixture and mix with electric mixer.
When the dough is complete, roll it out so that the cookies are .25 to .5 inches thick (depending on if you want a more crunchy or more chewy cookie), and shape them to how you please with cookie cutters.
Put them in an oven at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
