Elevate a simple fruit platter to this beautiful Tropical Ambrosia and wow your guests with this refreshing dessert! Feel free to play around with the fruit, using what’s in season and your favorite fruits.
2 ripe bananas, sliced
1/2 cup Gefen Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
2 large navel oranges, sectioned or sliced
2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
2 cups red grapes
1 mango, sliced
1 papaya, sliced
2 kiwis, sliced
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup Gefen Pineapple Juice
1 teaspoon coconut extract (optional)
1/4 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup slivered almonds
Dip banana slices in lemon juice to prevent browning.
In glass trifle bowl, arrange bananas as bottom layer and sprinkle with 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar.
Layer all fruits. Sprinkle with remaining confectioners’ sugar.
Combine juices with extract. Drizzle over fruits.
Sprinkle slivered almonds and coconut. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for four to six hours.
