Diets Here is Gabe’s take on the ultimate cheese bread. Serve it with soup, or use it as a base of a grilled cheese. Watch how it’s made on his show Under the Hood.
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 slice good rustic bread
Place a nonstick pan on medium high heat with one tablespoon of butter.
Once the butter has mostly melted place the slice of bread in the pan and toast both sides.
Remove the bread and sprinkle the pan with grated Parmesan. Place the bread back on the pan and spin it in the cheese making sure to pick up all the bits of Parmesan. The toast is done once the cheese is golden and crispy.
