What's Chanukah if we aren't frying something cheesy?! Esty is here to share with us her latest Chanukah-themed creation that is based on a dish she grew up eating. Enjoy these corn-battered mozzarella sticks that are fried to perfection, and will become the star at your Chanukah table!
Get the recipe:
Battered Cheese Sticks
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup Glicks Flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1Â egg
1 and 1/4 cups milk
18 sticks of mozzarella, cut in half
oil, for frying
Tuscanini Marinara, for dipping

Can you pan fry or only deep fry?
You can shallow fry them. Use enough oil (about half the item’s depth) in a hot skillet, cooking until golden brown on one side, flipping carefully and you may need to finish off in the oven if needed for thicker items.
we tried making this but all the cheese oozed out and there was no parcel of batter to hold the cheese in.
