You don’t need to leave your house to enjoy a restaurant quality dish! Rena's pasta and vegetable dish with thyme and white wine may not be your usual supper, but it definitely can be, because it is so simple to prepare.
Get the recipe:
Pasta
2 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil
1 yellow onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt, more to taste
dash of black pepper
1/2 cup white wine, like Bartenura Moscato
4 cups water
1 pound tortellini pasta
3/4 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

Looks great, if we are not such wine fans or don’t have it available can we just use water instead?
I’d suggest using vegetable broth or white wine vinegar instead!

However, is it possible that is not tortellini (which is usually bent and has a filling)?
It looks like you are using what is called rigatoni (which is similar to penne and ziti, just a little bigger).
Tortellini is usually found in the store freezers (meat or dairy versions), while rigatoni would be unrefrigerated on a store shelf.
You are right this is actually called Tortiglioni pasta but was labeled tortellini by mistake. Rigatoni is similar and would work great!
