Does your family love watermelon? Then they’re going to love this flavor-packed take on the classic summer treat. It’s watermelon dusted with Chili Lime Salt, and it’s DELICIOUS.

 

 

Although not a new idea, it’s an amazing one, and if you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time to give it a go!

 

 

The heat, zest, and sweetness of the fruit makes for an amazing combination! It works well as a side dish, dessert, or snack, and is so refreshing and fun.

 

Tip:

 

Go for a chili powder that has a bit of extra sweetness, and less heat. If you can only find Aleppo or Cayenne pepper, just add smaller amounts, to taste.

 

Best Way To Serve Watermelon:

 


Sure, you can give everyone a big moon-shaped wedge, but cutting them into smaller wedges, and inserting a popsicle stick is not only more fun and less messy, it’s also less wasteful. No more watermelon thrown into the trash!

Watermelon with Chili Lime Salt

 

Ingredients:

 

1 tablespoon kosher salt or other coarse salt
1/2 teaspoon ground chili pepper, to taste
Zest and juice of 1 lime
1 large watermelon, cut into small wedges

 

Directions:

 

In a small bowl combine the salt, chili pepper, and lime zest with a fork. Set aside.

 

Place your watermelon wedges on a large platter. Drizzle with lime juice and dust with salt mixture.

 

Serve right away.
