Chocolate Lava Cakes

Yields: 4 lava cakes

A warm and decadent dessert that is perfect after a long Seder. These are transformed by simply adding broken up chocolate to the batter.

Ingredients:

1 box Manischewitz Extra Moist Chocolate Cake Mix

1/2 cup cold water

1 large egg

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Chocolate bar, broken into pieces

Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Combine the cake mix ingredients according to package directions.

3. Grease ramekins and divide the cake batter among them. Gently press a piece of chocolate into the center of the lava cake.

4. Bake for 12 minutes, or until the sides of the cakes are firm but the centers are soft.

5. Garnish with powdered sugar, if desired.

Red Velvet Cream Cheese Muffins

Yields: 10 muffins

Red velvet cake is already delicious on its own, but with the addition of a cheesecake swirl, these are completely irresistible.

2 eggs

1/2 cup cold water, divided

Cream Cheese Filling:

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature

1 large egg yolk

1/4 cup sugar

1. Preheat oven 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Combine the ingredients for the cream cheese filling in a bowl and set aside.

5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until an inserted wooden toothpick is clean.
