The constant struggle for anyone cooking for Shabbat is: what chicken can I make that’s different than my usual? How can I be creative without having to spend hours in the kitchen? Here’s a solution—a classic duck sauce chicken spruced up with some apricots. This one is definitely going to make your guests say, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
1 chicken, cut into eighths
1 and 1/2 cups Gefen Duck Sauce
1 onion, diced
1 cup dried apricots (or any dried fruit)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Place chicken on parchment paper and sprinkle apricots and onions over it. Pour duck sauce over the top of the chicken, coating each piece of chicken and all the apricots. Bake uncovered for about one to one and a half hours, until chicken is done and caramelized on top.

What a great inspiration for dinner. I used five boneless skinless chicken thighs, s&p and paprika into a Ziploc bag. then i added duck sauce, dried cherries and chopped onion. I let this marinate for two hours then into the air fryer (power XL basket type) 400 degrees for 19 minuets turned at the halfway point. I served this with buttered peas and noodles. It was great! I know that I am not reviewing the recipe as written, but I am glad that I found this site.
