Diets My mother makes these waffles almost every morning for breakfast, putting her Belgian waffle maker to great use. All the grandchildren love these and regularly request them as an after-school snack whenever they come by. You can also use this batter for pancakes if you prefer.
2 tablespoons Haddar Baking Powder
1/4 cup demerara sugar (granulated sugar works fine too)
1 banana
2 eggs
2 tablespoons oil
2 cups milk
1/2 cup Glicks Chocolate Chips
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and sugar.
In a second bowl, mash banana. Add eggs, oil, and milk to banana and mix well (mixture will be lumpy). Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Preheat waffle maker. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. When waffle maker is hot, add batter. Sprinkle tops of waffle with chocolate chips. Close maker and let cook about three minutes, or until light brown in color.

We can taste the baking powder. Is it really a full two tablespoons?
