Diets These are the ultimate cheat! I love fresh, hot cinnamon buns but hate the mess involved in baking them. This recipe allows you to get the fresh, hot bun without all the work. Yield: 1 8-inch square pan
12 cinnamon buns (bought or homemade)
1 cup soy milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
(parve) ice cream, for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an eight-inch square pan or an oven-to-table dish.
Cut cinnamon buns into one-inch pieces and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Add the cubed buns and toss to combine.
Put mixture into the pan and let it rest for 20 minutes, until the buns absorb some of the liquid.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes. The middle might seem a drop underdone; that’s fine, it will set once it cools.
Cut into squares and serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
