With all the exotic twists on salads these days, the trusted old sometimes gets lost. So I’m bringing it back to the fore! Crunchy, tasty, super simple and super refreshing next to heavy, savory meats.
2 (16-ounce) bags chopped white coleslaw mix (or use 1 bag coleslaw mix and 1 bag purple cabbage for an extra pop of color)
1 cup Gefen Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Gefen Vinegar
2 tablespoons Haddar Dijon Mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 to 2 tablespoons sugar, optional (taste salad before adding, as the sweetness is not really necessary)
Pour the cabbage and dressing ingredients into a large ziplock bag and leave the air inside when zipping it shut (alternatively, use a bowl or container).
Mix and toss until all the dressing ingredients are fully incorporated.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Lasts for days in the fridge…the ultimate prep-ahead salad!
