This gorgeous, shiny frosting can be made easily in a pinch! Smooth and silky, stir this frosting well until all the lumps are out. Allow to sit for a few minutes to cool down, and pour this frosting onto your favorite cake to really take it over the top. This recipe won’t disappoint!
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons Gefen Cocoa
1 tablespoon coffee
4 tablespoons water
8 ounces shortening
4 ounces baking chocolate
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla
In a saucepan, mix eggs and sugar.
Dissolve cocoa and coffee in water, add to eggs.
Heat over medium flame, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved.
Add baking chocolate and shortening and cook until dissolved. Cool.
Add vanilla and stir or blend until smooth.
Yield: frosting for two 10 x 12 inch cake layers or 10 inch round cake
