Everything but the Bagel Spice

We all know and love Everything But the Bagel Spice (fun fact, in Israel this is known as challah spice!). It’s not difficult to make your own homemade blend, which you can then proceed to sprinkle on  – well, everything. Just mix together black and white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried minced onion and garlic, and kosher salt, in the proportions listed below.

  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds

  • 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds

  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds

  • 4 teaspoons dried minced garlic

Directions

Prepare the Everything but the Bagel Spice

In an airtight container, mix all ingredients. Store in a dry, cool place for up to six months.
