This soup is so rich and filling, it’s a hearty meal on its own.
Directions
1. Sauté onions and garlic with salt and pepper until onions are translucent.
2. Add pastrami, chicken broth, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil and allow to cook for five minutes. Lower the flame, then cover pot and allow to simmer for four to five hours.
3. Remove pastrami, shred with two forks, and return to the soup.
Notes:
This recipe also works amazingly in a slow cooker. Put all ingredients in together and cook on low for five to 10 hours.
