1 batch faked ziti, chilled
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups crushed (kosher) Doritos
oil, for frying
Parmesan
Tuscanini Marinara Sauce for dipping (optional)
Slice the chilled faked ziti into squares or planks, or roll them into balls about the size of a golf ball. Dunk each portion in egg, then coat thoroughly with crushed Doritos. Place into the freezer to firm up while heating the oil.
Heat your oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and fry until golden brown. Remove from the oil and sprinkle Parmesan generously over the top. Enjoy with warm marinara sauce.
