Prepare the Fried Plantains

  1. Add one-fourth inch oil to a frying pan and heat.

  2. Add sliced plantains to the hot oil and fry for about a minute and a half on each side till golden. Remove to drain on paper-towel-lined plate.

  3. Serve with picadillo, black beans, and white rice.
