My favorite part of this recipe is that it’s not as temperamental as a doughnut, and it’s a novelty for your party. Go crazy. Put in whatever add-ins you like and garnish with your favorite sauces. See how its done here.
1 package chocolate sandwich cookies
1/4 cup oil, plus oil for frying
salt flakes, for sprinkling (optional)
1 cup plain soy milk or Gefen Almond Milk
1 cup Glicks Flour
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 eggs
1 3-ounce (85-gram) box vanilla pudding mix (only 1/2 will be used; save the rest for another recipe)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon Haddar Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Combine soy milk, flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla pudding mix, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt, and beat vigorously with a whisk.
Heat oil for frying in a frying pan on medium heat.
Dip each cookie into the coating mixture, and fry until slightly golden, approximately two minutes on each side.
Sprinkle with salt flakes, if desired, and serve immediately.
