Garlic and dill … mmmm … on any chef’s “favorites” list.
3/4 cup slivered almonds
4 cloves garlic, such as Mr. Dipz Peeled Garlic, sliced
1 tablespoon oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
1 package iceberg or romaine lettuce
almonds, for garnish
garlic slices, for garnish
2 and 1/2 tablespoons Gefen Lemon Juice
1 and 1/2 tablespoons Gefen Vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
3 to 4 sprigs dill
Sauté 3/4 cup slivered almonds with four cloves garlic in one tablespoon oil. Set aside. Place lettuce in a salad bowl.
For dressing, in a separate bowl, blend lemon juice, vinegar, salt, sugar, oil, and dill.
Pour dressing over lettuce and garnish with almond and garlic slices.
