Ice cream is not necessarily the first mixer you think of for gin, but the combination of the two has been enjoyed for nearly a century – the inspiration for the following cocktail goes back to 1927. The drink is rich and indulgent, but balanced, and the really exciting thing is that the flavor is limited only by the varieties of ice cream you can find!
45 milliliters/1 and 1/2 ounce gin
1 scoop (approximate 50 grams/2 ounces) ice cream of your choice (vanilla, chocolate or strawberry are great ones to start with)
garnish of your choice (to complement the ice cream flavor)
Add the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously without ice and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with the decoration of your choice.
