A new take on meat and potatoes, this dish is a great addition to your Purim seudah.
1 pound minute steak, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons Gefen Olive Oil, divided
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt, divided
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound Tuscanini Gnocchi
1 small onion, chopped
2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
cleaned and chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Place steak bites in a bowl. Add lemon juice, one tablespoon oil, soy sauce, vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, half a teaspoon salt, and pepper. Marinate for one to three hours or overnight.
Bring a pot of water with half a teaspoon salt to a boil. Add gnocchi and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, add one tablespoon oil and chopped onion. Cook on medium heat until onion is soft and translucent. Add steak bites and sauté until brown.
Lower the flame, cover the pot, and cook for 30 minutes.
Remove steak bites from skillet. Add one tablespoon oil and chopped garlic to the skillet. Sauté for around one minute or until fragrant.
Add gnocchi and sauté until lightly browned. Add steak bites and juices. Mix and heat until warm.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
