You won’t want to share this with anyone. It’s a mix of homey meets fine dining and will please the palette of a 4-year-old as well as a food connoisseur.
Two packages of Bartenura Gnocchi
2 Onions
1 lb ground beef
4 pieces of garlic
Shiitake
Garlic powder
Salt
Pepper
Umami
Sauté onion and garlic. Add meat and season with salt, garlic powder, pepper, umami spice. Leave to the side.
In another pot, sauté onion, garlic and mushrooms and season with salt, garlic powder and umami. Take out of pan and leave to the side.
Cook gnocchi according to package and drain. Sauté in same pan that sautéed onions were in. Sauté them until golden brown. This step is very important because it’ll elevate the gnocchi to the next level. Add onion mixture and add meat. Cook until well mixed together. Add more seasoning as needed.
