One man’s leftovers is another man’s favorite dinner.
leftover shabbos protein
salt and pepper
1/4 cup mirin
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1-inch piece ginger, chopped
soft boiled eggs
1/4 cup soy sauce
cooked thin spaghetti, lukshen, or ramen
6 baby bella mushrooms, sliced
kimchi (optional)
scallion, sliced
pot of Shabbos chicken soup
sesame seed blend
1 medium onion, sliced
dash sesame oil
Bring leftover soup to boil.
In a separate pan, sauté onion, mushroom, ginger, and garlic till caramelized.
Then add liquid ingredients and bring to a boil.
Pour into soup.
To assemble: Put some lukshen into a bowl, ladle in soup till 3/4 full, top with half a soft boiled egg. Chop leftover protein. Sprinkle with scallion and sesame blend. Top with some kimchi.
