I made this once simply because I was using ground beef for another recipe and had some left over. I happened to have been making hot dogs for supper that night, so I added the meat. My boys went crazy, and a new recipe was born!
1 tablespoon oil
1 small onion, diced
1 and 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 (10-to-12-ounce) package hot dogs
1 teaspoon Pereg Cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons Pereg Paprika
2 tablespoons Gefen BBQ Sauce
hot dog buns, for serving
In a small frying pan on medium-high heat, heat oil and sauté onion until it starts to brown. Add beef and cook for about five to seven minutes.
Add spices and barbecue sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
Prepare the hot dogs (grill or bake in the oven, however you like to make them).
Place each hot dog in a bun, adding a generous amount of beef.
Serve with condiments and salads.
