Diets I love making homemade breads. There’s something so comforting about pulling a fresh loaf of bread out of the oven. Yield: 1 loaf
3 cups all-purpose flour, such as Glicks
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Gefen Yeast
1 and 1/2 cups warm water
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together to form a dough. (It will not feel like a challah dough; it will be looser.)
Cover with a damp towel and let rise for eight to 13 hours. (I like to prepare it the night before.)
Shape dough into a ball. Place on a piece of Gefen Parchment Paper. If desired, score the bread with a very sharp knife to make a design.
Preheat an oven-proof pot in an oven set to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place the bread together with the parchment paper in the pot.
Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes.
Serve warm.

How can I adapt this to make it whole wheat?
do u have to let the yeast bubble.??? because my dough looks like batter now.
It should be loose, once you let it rise for the 8-13 hours it’ll form more into a dough that you can shape.
yum!! totally compatible to read sour dough bread/challah!! definitely gonna be making this all the time. So easy. So yummy.
