It’s the perfect Friday night meat. Super presentable, not too heavy after fish and salads, and always a hit!
6 minute steaks
1 box pre-cut mushrooms
2 yellow onions, thinly sliced
2/3 cup of cooking wine
1 tbsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp oil
Start by tenderizing your steaks on both sides. Then sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides as well.
In a large skillet, sauté your onions in oil on med-high heat. When they reach a translucent-brownish color, add in your mushrooms and let them cook down for about 3-4 minutes.
Push your onion/mushroom mixture to the side of the skillet and add your steaks one at a time so you can give them a good sear on each side.
Place everything in the skillet and add in your wine and soy sauce. Add about 1/2-3/4 cup of water, just enough to cover half of the minute steaks.
Bring the heat down to low and cover the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 hours or until the steaks are fork tender.
