A quick and easy side dish perfect for a weeknight dinner.
1 medium onion, diced
1 tablespoon oil
1 and 1/2 cups farfel
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 and 1/2 cups green peas (frozen or canned)
Sauté onion in oil until golden brown. Add farfel and sauté another five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add water to cover, and cook, covered, over low heat, for 10–15 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
Add salt and peas and cook for another two to three minutes, stirring occasionally.
