You might think I’m always trying to throw unique ingredients your way, but for salmon, I pretty much exclusively make this marinade. The flavor combination works well with salad and pasta, or even on its own. Best of all? My kids devour it. I cut the salmon into strips to be extra cute, and that gets the young ones marginally more excited to ingest it.
3 (3-to-4-ounce/85-to-110-gram) salmon fillets, skin removed and sliced into strips
2 teaspoons Haddar Dijon Mustard
2 tablespoons Gefen Maple Syrup
3 tablespoons tamari
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Ground Ginger (optional)
salt, to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
Whisk marinade ingredients together. Pour over salmon and let marinate for one to eight hours.
Thread salmon onto skewers and bake for 20 minutes, until salmon is flaky but not dry.
