Create a glorious and delicious, memorable cake; with this easy and parve frosting for your cake! This frosting has made it on to my most celebrated cakes, with incredible memories as an added bonus! Celebrate all the reasons to smile with a great cake to mark that special moment!
Yields: enough for a 2-3 layered cake

12 ounces vegetable or coconut shortening
1 tablespoon Gefen Vanilla
2 pounds Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar
4 to 8 teaspoons milk (for parve, oat or Gefen Almond Milk)
1 teaspoon meringue powder (if you have it; if not, leave it out)
1/4 teaspoon fine salt
Cream shortening and whip in electric mixture on medium speed.
Scrape down sides and add vanilla and salt.
Next, gradually add sugar, then the meringue powder.
Once all well combined, add in liquid slowly until desired texture is met.
Cover with a damp towel if using the same day. If it’s for another day, refrigerate or freeze. Take out a few hours before using and use paddle on electric mixture to smooth before ready to frost.

Is there a substitute for the vegetable or coconut shortening? Thanks this frosting looks so awesome
You can use clarified butter, or ghee & use a one-to-one ratio.
I don’t see whip in the list of ingredients. How much whip is added to the shortening?
