When I think of Pesach desserts from my youth, grape juice ices always comes to mind. But why should the kids have all the fun? Adults deserve a refreshing ice pop too, and these spiced wine pops are just the thing!

Directions

Prepare the Ice Pops

Yields about 12 ice pops (depending on size)

1. Place the wine, honey, zest, juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, peppercorns, and allspice berries into a large pot.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for five to 10 minutes. Strain the mixture into a measuring cup, removing all the spices. Pour into popsicle molds.
3. Freeze the pops for a few hours, then stick a long cinnamon stick into each one and freeze until solid.

Tips:

For a kid-friendly version, use grape juice or apple cider, and omit peppercorns and allspice berries.

Notes:

Adjust sweetener according to how dry your wine is.
