Yummy
1 cup split peas
1 cup navy beans
1 onion, chopped
3 stalks of celery
3 carrots
1 zucchini, sliced into half moons or quatered
1 16 oz can of mushrooms, drained
2 frozen garlic cubes
2 frozen parsley cubes
2 bay leaves
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp kosher salt
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
oil for mire poix
1. Mire poix
2. Add garlic cubes, stir
3. Add parsley cubes
4. Add split peas and beans, cover with water and bring to a boil.
5. Add zucchini
6. Add lemon juice, bay leaves and spices
7. Simmer for at least an hour
8. Add mushrooms and simmer for another half an hour
