Ingredients

Strawberry Basil Lemonade Mocktail

  • 6–8 medium strawberries, plus additional for garnish

  • 6 basil leaves

  • ice

Directions

Prepare the Strawberry Basil Lemonade Mocktail

1.

Divide up the strawberries and basil between two glasses. Using a muddler or a wooden spoon, gently mash the strawberries and basil to release their juices.

2.

Add lots of ice to the glass and top everything off with an ice cold Tuscanini Sparkling Lemon Beverage.

3.

Serve with a lemon slice, half a strawberry and more basil for garnish, if desired.

Notes:

You can easily make this into a cocktail by adding one ounce strawberry-flavored vodka to each glass before adding the ice.   According to OU Kosher, strawberries can be checked for insects in the following manner: Remove tops of the strawberries. Carefully rotate and inspect each berry. Place in soapy solution, agitate each berry, and soak for several minutes. Wash each berry thoroughly under a strong spray of running water.

I’ve used mint leaves many times, it’s a hit.
