This unBEETable smoothie is extremely flavorful and delicious. Don’t let any of the ingredients scare you! They combine to make a smoothie that you’re not going to want to put down. This is a great drink to have before your workout to help increase your endurance. The nitrates found in beets can enhance your high intensity interval training, as well as aerobic and intense workouts, by reducing the amount of oxygen consumed during your workout.

Ingredients

UnBEETable Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup pure beet juice

  • 2 medium-sized oranges, frozen (freeze individual segments, and let thaw slightly before using)

  • 1 Red Delicious apple, unpeeled

  • 2 dates

  • 1 to 1 and 1/2 teaspoons agave syrup, to taste

Directions

1.

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
