This brownie cake is delicious! True to its name, this is a hybrid brownie and cake. Dense like a brownie, yet cake-like, this has a wonderful chocolate flavor, is nice and moist, and is really easy to make. You can’t go wrong with this one!
1 pound shortening
3 cups sugar
10 eggs
2 teaspoons Gefen Vanilla Extract
8 tablespoons Gefen Cocoa
2 tablespoons coffee, dissolved in 3/4 cup water
5 cups Mishpacha Flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time and beat until slightly thickened.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour into lined 10- x 16-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
