4. Shaved Parmesan Salad by Shushy Turin

5. Smashed Cucumber Dill Salad by Micah Siva

My zaida (grandfather), named Arnold, was a natural host. Every time we went to his house, he would come in with a tray of candies, Mrs. Fields cookies, Coke, and ice cream floats (with unique flavor combinations, like cream soda or orange soda in place of cola, no less). He made freshly squeezed orange juice for my bubbe (grandmother) every morning, and if you were lucky, he would make you a batch of “Zaida’s Pickles,” made with pickling cucumbers, salt, sugar, and vinegar. It was a perfectly tangy treat that we looked forward to and craved every summer. Since then, I often make my own pickle variations and think of how he took such pride in caring for others. The flavors of Arnie’s pickles inspired me to create this cucumber salad, a modern twist of a side dish that is a hybrid between a salad and a plate of his pickles. It’s a great dinner party option.

6. Steak with Grilled Pineapple Avocado Salad by Ally Mawhirter

When you want to break out the grill pan for supper, this easy steak dinner is the recipe you want to try – the steak is delicious and the avocado salad with pineapple-cilantro dressing is so fresh!

7. Go-Green Lunch Salad by Chanie Nayman

Roasted vegetables are always a favorite, but they can definitely take some time to prep and roast. Zucchini is one of the faster options, and the leftovers can be used in a delicious mid-week lunch salad like this one!

8. Heaven ’n Health Pink Smoothie by Faigy Grossman

Aside from its gorgeous color and rich consistency, the flavor and health benefits of this delicious smoothie make it a first choice for that lazy summer eve, when you just want dinner to be over before it’s begun!

9. Strawberry-Cantaloupe Soup by Alison Gutwaks

I am always looking for soups that are refreshing and easy to serve in the summertime. This recipe not only takes advantage of the super-sweet strawberries and cantaloupe available now, but it is done in one bowl and takes only five minutes to prepare!

10. Grilled Chicken and Peach Summer Salad by Estee Kafra

Nothing says summer like a good fresh salad. Grilled peaches and grilled chicken just shout “summer!”

11. Lemony Sheet Pan Fish and Veggies by Ally Mawhirter

Sheet pan dinners are a wonderful trend for busy families. Ally has kept the ingredient list simple, but you can spice up your lemony fish and veggies to suit your tastes.

12. Summer Gems and Goat Cheese Salad by Rorie Weisberg

These delicious kisses of sunshine bring the flavors of summer to your salad bowl. Enjoy for breakfast, lunch, snack, or as a side to a dairy dinner. The optional add-ins provide fiber, protein, nutrients, and crunch. Double or triple for a crowd!
