Every year has its own flavor, its own trends, and 2025 was no exception. From sweet and indulgent to savory and bold, this year’s viral foods had our kitchens buzzing and our feeds overflowing. Here are the ones we found ourselves making, tasting, and sharing over and over again.

Dates

Simple, naturally sweet, and completely addictive. Dates made a huge comeback in 2025, appearing in everything from snacks and energy bites to dessert swaps and even savory dishes. Check out all our recipes with dates here! They’re perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of sweetness without going overboard, and they keep your hands busy while snacking, which we can totally get behind.

Hot Honey

The sweet-and-spicy trend was still going strong this year, and hot honey earned its place at the top. Drizzle it over pizza, chicken wings, roasted veggies, or ribs, and you instantly transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. It’s a flavor combination that just keeps surprising you in all the best ways.

Health-Focused Eats

From plant-based bowls to healthier flours and naturally dyed treats, health-conscious meals were everywhere this year. The best part? They didn’t feel like “healthy substitutes”, they were genuinely delicious. We loved experimenting with these dishes, from colorful veggie-forward plates to nutrient-packed baked goods.

Kimchi

Fermented, tangy, and packed with umami, kimchi kept surprising us. Whether served on its own, stirred into fried rice, or even layered into fusion dishes, it was the flavor punch that gave any meal a boost. Probiotic-rich, spicy, and addictive, kimchi proved it’s not just a trend in our minds. This is the recipe we'll keep coming back to.

Cottage Cheese Everything

Who knew a humble tub of cottage cheese could take over the internet? This year, it wasn’t just for breakfast bowls or simple snacks. Cottage cheese went into pancakes, muffins, smoothies, desserts, savory bowls, and even baked dishes. It’s high-protein, versatile, and honestly, a little bit magical. If you haven’t tried adding it to everything yet, 2025 says it’s time.

Dubai Chocolate

Rich, indulgent, and Instagram-perfect, Dubai chocolate captured our hearts and taste buds. Together, pistachio, tahini, shredded phyllo, and chocolate is a full-on experience. We loved recreating our own versions at home and sharing them at Shabbos and holiday meals, because let’s face it, anything with chocolate and nuts is always a crowd-pleaser.

There are a plethora of other food trends from 2025 (hello shaved-ice tomatoes!). What were some of your favorites that are not on this list? Let us know in the comments below!
