Want a healthy “anytime” treat? So low in calories, it’s one of my favorite go-to’s when I’m in the mood! Absolutely YUM! Enjoy l’chvod Shabbos or anytime you’re in the mood for a sweet treat!
Place fruit and vanilla into a high-speed blender. I love using my Vitamix for this!
Slowly drizzle in unsweetened plant milk to keep things moving.
Blend on low until combined. You might have to use a spatula once or twice to move the fruit closer to the blades. Do not overdo it or it will melt.
Tips:
Best served fresh.
If serving this or any frozen dessert later, for best results, let it freeze for three hours and then cut into chunks, reblend and refreeze.
Homemade ice cream stays softer when you store it in a shallow container, rather than a deep tub. Cover the surface of the ice cream with parchment paper and plastic wrap to keep ice crystals from forming. For easier serving, you can cut this into cubes rather than scooping it out or freeze in individual cups. Let soften before serving.
what is vanilla plant milk? Do you mean soy milk or almond milk?
where is the save button?
Vanilla plant milk means any plant based vanilla flavored milk. Either soy or almond can work. The heart icon is the save button.
For those who don’t have a high-speed blender, this can also be made in a food processor. Easier to scoop it out from the food processor, too!
