Our Chocolate Sprinkle Matzo celebrates the holiday putting to good use leftover unleavened flatbread. If you need a quick no-bake treat, this sweet and crunchy, Passover treat is easy to make.
Yields 6 sheets of matzo, 8-10 servings
Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place two sheets of matzo on the prepared baking sheet. Melt the chocolate in a two-cup glass measuring cup.
Carefully pour the melted chocolate in a zip top bag, cut the tip and slowly apply the chocolate in a zig zag pattern. Decorate with sprinkles. Repeat with other sheets of matzos.
Set on a cooling rack to fully dry, for two to four hours or overnight. Once cooled, break into pieces.
Notes:
To melt the chocolate: place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 45 seconds-one minute and stir. Continue to heat in 30-second increments, stirring frequently, until the chocolate has fully melted.
Get creative, adjust the ingredients to suit your personal taste! Try colorful Passover treats like sprinkles or seasonal nonpareils, mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts or dried fruit. The options are endless!
If you have dietary concerns, you can easily adjust this recipe for allergies, vegan or gluten free restrictions, just watch out for all of the labels.
