Follow these simple directions to prepare a hummus appetizing platter. Enjoy the popular Middle Eastern chickpea spread with pita chips or cut vegetables, or spread it on your challah.

Prepare the Hummus

  1. Place all the hummus ingredients except the cooking water in a food processor and blend till smooth. Add the water gradually until you reach the desired consistency.

  2. With a tablespoon, spread the hummus in circular fashion on a plate. Place chickpeas in the center, drizzle with tahini, olive oil and chopped parsley.
