2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
3 tablespoons sugar
1 and 1/2 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
Elite Shtix or your favorite candy bars
toothpicks
canola oil, for frying
Gefen Confectioners’ Sugar, for dusting
Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or small pot over medium heat.
Meanwhile, prepare the batter. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and sugar. Add flour and baking powder. Whisk until smooth (some lumps are fine).
Test oil by dropping a bit of batter into it. It should sizzle and the batter should float to the top.
Working with one unwrapped Shtix bar at a time, pierce it with a toothpick then dunk it into the batter. Use a spoon to help guide the batter over the chocolate to coat completely. Allow the excess to drip off and gently lower it into the hot oil with the toothpick attached.
Fry until golden brown on all sides and remove carefully to a dish lined with paper towels. Dust with confectioners’ sugar and enjoy immediately!

This recipe is so so good. my entire family kept on noshing on them through out the Chanukah party, and every body asked me for the recipe. So Esty good job as usual.

thanx again.
Absolutely YUM!!! just don’t use shtix with popping candy in, because the popping candy gets all hard and lumpy.
