Diets Craving some much-needed carbs and something cheesy? This low-carb and low-calorie pizza with yummy veggies is just what you need to get through the rest of the week. I make these low carb pizzas all the time. Try this recipe and you won’t miss your regular pizza that’s twice the amount of calories. Perfect for your Thursday night dairy dinner when you just don’t wanna cook, don’t want regular pizza, and just want a healthier alternative.
4 small low-carb flour tortillas
3/4 cup Tuscanini Pizza or marinara sauce (you can also use a sugar-free sauce if you want to really minimize the calories)
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pepper (any color), diced
1 medium onion
1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic
pinch of salt
cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place flour tortillas on a metal baking sheet. Place in oven for about eight to 10 minutes or until the tortillas get a little crispy.
Spray a pan with cooking spray and sauté onion and peppers. Add salt and the frozen garlic cube and mix until the garlic is fully melted and incorporated. Cook until the vegetables are fully cooked through.
Top tortillas with sauce, then vegetables, and then cheese. Place them back into the oven until cheese is melted. (You can also place under broil for about a minute for the cheese to melt quicker.)
