Teriyaki-style chicken without the teriyaki sauce! This recipe comes together quickly in one pan. Perfect for a weeknight, but it could also be dressed up for Shabbat.
1 pound chicken nuggets
2 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, sliced
4 tablespoons Gefen Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Gefen Cornstarch
8 ounces Gefen Pineapple Tidbits, drained and liquid reserved
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon Gefen Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon salt
5 scallions, chopped
1 piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
Mix all ingredients for marinade and add chicken nuggets. Let stand for 20 minutes.
Drain chicken, reserve marinade.
Heat oil in large skillet.
Fry onion for two minutes over high heat. Add chicken nuggets and stir-fry for another two minutes.
Add reserved marinade and soy sauce and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Dissolve cornstarch in pineapple liquid. Add to chicken. Add pineapple tidbits and cook for two minutes or until thickened.
Serve buffet style or as entree over rice.
