I loved the episode I did with Gabi, but truthfully I loved every single guest who bought their own flare, flavor profile and energy to my show this year!


Esty Wolbe (Easy Does It):



My favorite video of 2020 is definitely episode 47 of Easy Does It where my mom joined me to make her legendary stuffed cabbage. Aside from the delicious recipe and her technique, I love how fun it is. My mom is an absolute riot and you get to see a glimpse of that as we cook together.


Rorie Weisberg (Living Full ’n Free):



So hard to choose, but I’d have to say the Japanese sweet potato chips with mango guacamole. They were a favorite at every BBQ I made this past summer. No matter how much I made it was always the first dish that was gone. Countless people commented how much they loved the recipe too!

The formula for content that catches on is simple to state, but very hard to carry out. The Donut Cheerios we ran this past Chanukah filled the formula to a T. Creative and different, plus easy to recreate. And guess what? The formula worked, and it did indeed catch on.

This pesto chicken is the world’s easiest! Literally 5 seconds to prep and so much flavor! I’m a huge fan.



My whole family liked these healthy cookies and asked for more! Pretty impressive. I just bought more maple syrup so I can make them again!

It’s probably no surprise to those who know me that these Chanukah crafts are my all time favorite from 2020! I especially loved receiving all the pictures through WhatsApp, Instagram and email from everyone who made them. Hearing how much joy they brought to everyone this Chanukah season was so rewarding.

This article on Pack and Go Picnic Recipes brings a smile to my face and a good feeling too. While it is winter and we are all experiencing some degree of Covid rule enforcements, this article feels like a breath of fresh air of what will be ahead, along with fun family time that we can look forward to.

Working with what you’ve got- Like many of us this year, I made holidays for the first time in my life. Combine this with leaving the house only seldom in the earlier months of the virus and, well, I had to get creative. Articles like this one inspired me to make the holidays special even with my limitations!

My Favorite show/video of 2020 was Queen of Cakes. Queen of Cakes brought us all behind the scenes to see how gorgeous celebration cakes are made. There are plenty of shows like this in the non-kosher world, but seeing this brought to the kosher world, being done so professionally and beautifully, was a real accomplishment and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it!

Hmm this was definitely a tricky one- there were so many to choose from. At the end I picked Danielle’s video American vs Israeli. It was just so fun and cute to watch and laugh along with! I even got my family into it and we all binged ‘Matter of Taste’ episodes . It was a great way to pass the hours during quarantine!

It’s really hard to pick just one recipe. Sarah Lasry’s Granola Bowl is high up there. This became the year of from-scratch cooking, whether people were choosing to do so from a health and safety perspective, because favorite goodies or restaurant experiences were unavailable, because the pandemic leaned heavy on their wallets – or simply because they had more time on their hands and/or more “sous chefs” to entertain.



Oh, and this was the year Arayes became mainstream supper fare. It’s basically grilled bread slathered in fat and stuffed with whatever you like – meat, parve, or even dairy. If you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for?
