Kim Kushner knows how to make and present food that feels like a warm hug. In this episode, culinary educator and 4-time cookbook author shows Naomi her go-to “Sunday Soup” and how to build a sandwich with layers of flavor and texture. It’s the kind of meal you’ll want to gift—or keep for yourself.
Get the recipe:
Sunday Soup: Veggies, Chicken, and Barley

4 carrots
1/2 of a butternut squash

2 tablespoons Gefen Light Olive Oil

I thought this soup was delicious! I served it with the sandwiches as described in the video and sooooo good! There was plenty to freeze and enough for a weekday meal.
I would also appreciate the chummus recipe.
I’m so sorry, we don’t have Kims chummus recipe, however this is an easy recipe that’s a staple https://www.kosher.com/recipe/homemade-hummus-16979/
I am always cautious about freezing things in glass, because liquids expand a bit when they are frozen, and I would not want the glass the shatter.
Thank you for the recipe. I just want to remind everyone that if you are using these glass bottles, that they have to be toiveled. Good Shabbos to all.
Yes- good point! Plastic containers are my go-to for freezing, but if you’re using glass make sure to not fill it more than 3/4.
Looks yum!!
Amazing episode!!!
btw am I the only one who’s having problems with the app?? I can’t find it on the App Store ? ??
It is back in the app store now!

this looks delicious i am so excited to make this dish for my family
Enjoy it and please keep us posted!
Can you provide us with her pesto recipe as well?
Looks DELISH!!!!!
CAN you provide us with the recipe of how to make jammy eggs
And the chummus
If you want it a little runny You add your eggs to water and let boil for exactly 6 minutes, if you want a little more set it will take 7-8minutes
My recipe for runny eggs is to add the eggs to rapidly boiling water, boil for exactly 5 minutes, and then run the eggs under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Play with the timing to get the exact runny-ness / jammy-ness that you prefer…
We love this how-to on Jammy Eggs by Dini Klein and Naomi- you can watch it and get the recipe here (of course skip the rice cakes, if you want) https://www.kosher.com/video/fried-rice-cakes-and-jammy-eggs/
