It’s been a busy year here at Kosher.com, and we feel it’s worthwhile to stop and reflect on what we accomplished this year. We want to give credit where it’s due, and also maybe draw your attention back to something you may have missed or forgotten about that you can enjoy again.


There were so many mouthwatering recipes, creative videos, and helpful articles this year! Our contributors and staff worked so hard and put so much talent and thought into their creations.


Here are some of our kosher.com favorites of 2019!

Remember this beauty? I loved this familiar yet original concept. And we loved getting all your pictures proving how much you loved it too!

Rorie Weisberg (Living Full ’n Free):

I’m always looking for healthy crock pot dinner ideas. I was thrilled when I saw Danielle Renov’s Crockpot Pulled Beef Baked Potatoes. I used homemade chicken broth and baked some potatoes and some sweet potatoes. The pulled beef recipe was delicious, and stuffing it in your “potato of choice” was a real crowd pleaser. I love when I can make one dinner that everyone will be happy with. The best part was I could set it and forget it–my favorite way to deal with dinner especially on busy work days.


Naomi Nachman (Sunny Side Up):

I did a video on knife skills with Sandy Leibowitz. I learned a lot. She even taught me to cut without looking. 


Esty Wolbe (Easy Does It):

My favorite articles are the recipe roundups! Everything you’re looking for, all in one place. It makes holiday meal planning a breeze.


Leah Gottheim (Kosherdotcom VP):

I found some new favorite staple recipes, and some recipes that inspired me to try something new. I love making the one-bowl, no-fail cake for a quick dessert,

This vegetable soup is fantastic, and this Delmonico roast is a great sugar-free Yom Tov main. (Yes, I’m a fan of healthy cooking!)


Sali Cherniak (Kosherdotcom Recipe Editor):

My husband actually made this for our anniversary dinner. The rest of the meal was delicious, but the stand-out was Rivki Rabinowitz’s Sea Salt Fig Focaccia with Rosemary and Lavender.


Nechama Fink (Kosherdotcom Back End Management Assistant):

This cheese scone recipe is quick, easy, and perfect for so many different occasions. It’s a simple and satisfying snack for the kids when they come back from school and has become a winner in our house.


Rachel Kor (Kosherdotcom Editorial Assistant):

My favorite article from this year is, How to Throw a Stunning Summer Sheva Brachot.  It was so rewarding to see how beautifully everything came together after so much planning. The article also really inspired me to step up my own entertaining game!


Jenna Grunfeld (Kosherdotcom Managing Editor):

I think my favorite video of the year was the second episode of Skill’it. The seasonality challenge meant beautiful fresh vegetables and fruits literally brought straight from a farm. This episode also contained one of my favorite twists, the magical cocktail from Moshe Nafisi, and the mock scallops made out of seared, seasoned hearts of palm,  geniusly created on the spot by Moshe Bloch. I think about those all the time.


Raquel Malul (Kosherdotcom Marketing Assistant):

Skill’It was my favorite show. To have such a professional, entertaining cooking competition done Kosher was very impressive and showed the real progress of the Kosher cooking world.
